Hey, don't I know you? I thought so.

Well you know me, and here's some stuff you might not know.

Looks like Samsung's Galaxy S has taken a one-two punch, and all I can say is ouch. First, the official update from Froyo to Gingerbread for the Galaxy S was available for just a day before coming to an abrupt halt. Apparently the update everyone was anticipating had the opposite effect of its intended improvement. It actually made things worse. So they pulled it. The only news we have on when the issue will be
resolved is "as soon as possible." Hmm...great.

And as if that weren't enough, check this out. Apple is reportedly suing Samsung
for infringement on its products. They claim the Galaxy S bears too close a
resemblance in design to the iPhone in both hardware and software. Apple's bringing sixteen claims against Samsung. We'll have to wait and see what this does to the production and development of the Galaxy S II. Kind of sucks to be Samsung right now, huh?

And now for something completely different, HBO GO has been around for a little over a year, and it's already available for the web and subscribers to Comcast and DirectTV. Well now the service is coming to Android tablets and smartphones. It gives you instant and unlimited access to all HBO series and movies. You can see every episode of every season of HBO shows, plus watch hit movies and much more. It's all free to subscribers and it's streaming on your smartphone. We should see HBO GO coming May 2nd. So don't touch that screen.

And that's what's news for you. This has been Ashlei for DroidNerds. Le puncheur por tal Android. Roll that around your mouth. See you next time.
